Community Guidelines

TigerMumsClub encourages all our members to know what we stand for and our core values. If you haven’t read them yet, please read our Mission, Vision and Core Values.

Expectations of all members

Our community is built on the core values of SURGE: Support, Understanding, Respect, Growth, and Empowerment. To ensure a positive and enriching experience for all members, please follow the guidelines below.

Share & Support

  • Share by providing your own example, and refrain from giving advice on how or what other parents should do.
  • Share your own ways, tips and tricks that work for you or your child — and do not dictate how or what other parents should do with theirs.
  • Support other parents when they need help, advice or a listening ear, using positive words and encouragement.

Understanding

  • Learn about the different learning styles and methods fellow parents share, and find better ways to enhance and improve yourself and your child’s learning.
  • Apply what you’ve learnt in this community based on your own values, schedule and circumstances.
  • Do not pressure yourself to follow certain standards or examples that do not suit you, your child or your family.
  • Do not pressure other parents to follow certain standards or examples you think suit them — they should make their own decision based on their own circumstances.
  • Understand that there are no perfect parents, children, or families. What looks perfect here should be filtered through a lens of understanding and realism.

Respect

  • Do not dehumanize or give unlawful treatment to others, including but not limited to all forms of cyberbullying, cyber-harassment, hate speech, or threats based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, disability, or immigration status.
  • There’s no need to be mean, rude, offensive, or antagonistically political. While it’s fine to challenge ideas or arguments, avoid name-calling or disrespectful comments. If you and another member disagree, make an effort to understand their point of view before responding, and strive to resolve disagreements constructively and respectfully. Disagreement is no excuse for poor manners.
  • Keep it in the circle — what’s shared in TigerMumsClub stays in TigerMumsClub. Please don’t screenshot, repost, or retell another parent’s story outside the community. This is a private, safe space, and keeping it confidential is everyone’s responsibility.
  • Do not promote, solicit or spam other members. TigerMumsClub reserves the right, at our complete discretion, to remove any comments or statements identified as promotions, solicitations, or spam. If you’d like to promote your business, please ensure the following:
    • Email admin for approval prior to posting.
    • Your business is relevant to our members.
    • Your business is related to learning and education.
    • You declare upfront that you are promoting your business.
  • You can be as open and transparent as you want, but we want everyone’s privacy respected. Please do not share anyone’s nonpublic personal information on our platform. Do not use our platform to dox, extort, harass, or spread false and disparaging rumours about others.

Growth

  • You’re here to inspire and be inspired — to learn and unlearn about parenting, your children, your family, and most importantly about yourself.
  • Be open to new perspectives, and reflect on how they can enrich your own journey.

Empower

  • Empower fellow members by acknowledging their wins, learning from their stories, and letting them know when you’ve found or learnt something valuable from them. A simple “thank you” can go a long way in making the community supportive and appreciative.

What happens if someone violates the guidelines?

If we identify a violation, we may, at our discretion, delete it without further comment and without notifying the person involved. A first-time violation may receive a warning. A second-time violation may receive another warning. If more than two violations occur within a short period (such as within one month), we may take further action. Violations of our Respect guidelines are most likely to result in a permanent ban.
