TigerMumsClub (“TigerMumsClub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the community at community.tigermums.club (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
Who we are
TigerMumsClub is a parenting community based in Singapore. For any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at hellotigermom@gmail.com. This address also serves as our contact for data protection matters.
The personal data we collect
We only collect what we need to run the community and support our members:
- Account details — your name, email address, and (for email signups) a password. If you sign up with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and basic public profile information from that provider instead of a password.
- Profile & onboarding answers — information you choose to give when completing your profile, such as whether you are a mum or dad, your working status, general location, Instagram handle, and details about your children (gender and year of birth). This is information you provide about your own family.
- Parenting profiler answers — your responses to our short reflection questions (for example, how you tend to respond in different parenting moments). We use these to help match you with other parents.
- Community content — posts, comments, replies, and messages you share within the Platform.
- Technical data — standard log and cookie data (such as IP address, browser type, and session cookies) needed to keep you logged in and keep the Platform secure.
How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and give you access to the community spaces.
- To provide our optional 1-on-1 parent matching, using your profile and parenting profiler answers to suggest members you may connect well with. You can decline to be matched.
- To communicate with you about your account, community activity, and updates.
- To keep the Platform safe, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
Signing in with Google or Facebook
If you choose “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Facebook”, the provider sends us your name, email address, and basic public profile so we can create or log you into your account. We do not receive your password, and we do not post anything to your social accounts. Your use of those providers is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the community software (WordPress and FluentCommunity). These are required for the Platform to function. We do not use cookies to sell your data to advertisers.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Platform — for example our website hosting (Amazon Web Services) and email delivery services — and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We may also disclose data where required by law.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data as described below, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
Your rights and how to delete your data
You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent for its use (including for matching).
To request deletion of your account and personal data, email hellotigermom@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the subject line “Delete my data”. We will delete your account, profile, onboarding and profiler answers, and remove your community memberships within 30 days, and confirm once done. If you signed up using Facebook or Google, this also removes the connection to that account.
Children’s data
The Platform is intended for parents and other adults (18+). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children. Any information about your children is provided by you, as their parent, and is used only to support you within the community.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the community.
